As Senior Knowledge Leader, Marvin Wilson Adds Decades of Experience to Greater Yield’s Profitability Enhancement Practice

DALLAS – Feb. 4, 2012 – Marvin Wilson, a business transformation consultant, has joined forces with Greater Yield as a Senior Knowledge Leader. Greater Yield looks at businesses from an enterprise-wide perspective analyzing the structures, tools, processes, management styles and other behaviors to identify and solve problems within the organization. In a strategic alliance, Wilson’s company – Profitability Improvement – strengthens Greater Yield’s considerable expertise in providing operational improvements programs to increase productivity, reduce operational costs and increase profits for business clients.

With more than 30 years of experience, Wilson’s programs have provided profitability enhancement services for clients around the globe. A senior executive with knowledge in corporate business management, manufacturing, engineering, quality, logistics and information systems assignments, Wilson’s work is known for yielding superior results, said Jim Taylor, principal at Greater Yield.

Prior to his founding Profitability Improvement, Wilson served as vice president of a national retailer. During his tenure, he completed carrier evaluations and contracts to support nine structured domestic regions across the U.S, saving an estimated $2 million annually with significant enhancement in delivery service and reliability.

Wilson also worked at The Thomas Group in various capacities, which included the roles of president, vice president and senior partner. He consistently managed and achieved successful Total Cycle Time improvement program implementation assignments with Fortune 500 customers, which included Thomas Group’s largest and most successful client. Wilson also received The Thomas Group CEO award in 1991 for highest revenue generator for the year.

Wilson holds a degree in electrical engineering from Oklahoma State University and a business administration degree from Western Illinois University. He is also involved in a number of community activities such as Toastmasters International, The Lions Club, United Way and more.
